Christmas Chill-out event and Carol Service

We are in the midst of preparing for our Christmas events at present and I'd really appreciate your prayers for these. We are doing our Christmas Chill-out event (free head/shoulder massage, refreshments, free gift etc) for staff again as God has really blessed these for the last two years and people in the council are already talking about it and wanting to come along.

 

We have been refused permission by our Chief Exec to open the event throughout the day rather than just at lunchtime but at least its established contact with him.

 

We have been allowed to open the event to the catering team when they finish work at 2.30 as they specifically asked us to do something for them.

 

Its been really encouraging as when we planned the first event 2 years ago there were only 3 of us and now there are 10 people firmly involved so God has certainly answered prayers. We know though that we need to be so dependent on him to work through these events and through the Carol Service too.

We are holding the Carol Service in the main council building this year and will be getting a band in from a local church to liven it up a bit. There's a lot of planning still to be done but we've managed to get organised a bit earlier this year. I've been worrying about it a bit but I've just been for a run and whilst running the thought came strongly into my head to expect God to do great things rather than to worry about minor details!

The Chill out events are on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th December and the Carol Service is on Weds 10th. We'd really value your prayers and especially that we really would expect God to do more than we can hope or imagine.
