Now an Angel of the Lord said to Phillip, "Go south to the road-the desert road- that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Phillip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." Then Phillip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Phillip asked. "How can I," he said,"unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Phillip to come up and sit with him.

There are about 500,000 lorries, and over 80,000 buses and coaches on the road in the UK. About 100,000 lorries are on the road just to deliver food and goods to the supermarkets and shops. A road industry survey has shown over 65% of drivers work on average shifts of 12-13 hours. 80% work more than 48 hours per week 20% of which working 60+ hours and this means spending 3-4 nights per week sleeping by the road side in their caps.
Most drivers are men, although there are woman drivers as well and for the majority of the drivers this job can and does bring a lot of strain on marriages and families.
A very small percentage of drivers are already Christians and have the support of the Lord, church and fellow Christians. But... The vast majority however are not Christians, and because of the long working hours they have a little opportunity to hear of Jesus and the gospel. This can lead to many temptations on the road and in truck stops, also driving can be a very lonely and stressful profession.
We as GRm aim to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the drivers of the UK. With our website we are able to reach many drivers with information about the industry but also giving spiritual support to them and their families, prayer support and a listening ear. At the moment we have book stands at 10 truck stops around the UK, providing Bibles and Gospel materials ie: Tracts, Christian books/ newspapers plus information on how to contact GRm and the drivers have taken just over 1,000 Bibles from the stands to date.
Prayer Pointers
 * For all the drivers who deliver our daily goods to the shops. That they will be protected and at some point get to hear the Gospel.
* GRm is able to put Gospel material in more truck stops around the UK.
* The Lord will open more doors to be able to reach many more drivers through the website and Truck shows.
* The Lord brings more volunteers that will take part of this important ministry.
* The Lord will open doors into transport companies around the UK to put up posters and book stands in the drivers rest rooms.
* New Christian drivers are finding a positive way into this new life with their families.
