Inspiring Christians to Transform the Workplace and the Nation...
Dear {recipient.first_name}, Keeping the main thing the main thing!
Active Christians and Christian workplace groups are fundamental to transforming our workplaces and our mission to inspire Christians to do just that has not changed. Our major review of last month has helped Transform Work UK see our role even more simply. Firstly it is to do whatever we can to increase the number of groups in the UK. Secondly it is to encourage and support the groups in their passion to make a difference. There are many activities that will help focus our energies towards achieving these two fundamental objectives. Your backing makes all the difference so please pray for the favour of God over our workplaces and our obedience to His calling.

"What would you do to improve the experience of Christians in the workplace should you be in a position of government after the next election? This is the question I put to ministers and shadow ministers of 3 key departments. I also said their reply, should they be kind enough to provide one, would be posted on our website. Stephen Timms has replied and his helpful and interesting response can be found here (page 1 and page 2 ).
Take Your Minister to Work A great idea to help Christians to forge a closer link between their faith and their working lives; to help churches develop a greater understanding of the world of work; to make churches aware of the particular challenges and struggles that are faced by employers and employees within their local community. “Westminster is famous for offering new MPs a peg with their name on and a red ribbon below, so that they may take their sword off and hang it up safely before entering the Chamber. “In the modern world there is great pressure to treat faith in the same way - to put it safely aside before entering our workplaces, and to pick it up again at the end of the day. “I therefore welcome this new initiative, which will encourage Christians not to put their faith aside before entering the political fray, but instead make it the essential core of their daily work.” Lord Carey of Clifton, Previous Archbishop of Canterbury as quoted in www.christiansinpolitics.org.uk
