Inspiring Christians to Transform the Workplace and the Nation...
Dear {recipient.first_name}, Growing & Thriving In recent months there have been many references in the media to the difficulties which some Christians experience when bringing their faith into the workplace. Some of these cases have been high profile, including the airline employee asked to stop wearing a cross at work and the nurse disciplined for asking a patient if she would like her to pray for her. These instances should concern Christians everywhere, but they do not portray the full picture. Indeed, the experience of Transform Work UK (TWUK) is that there are many examples of Christian Workplace Groups (CWGs) growing and thriving." Adrian Miles in New Wine Magazine 2010

The Coalition: our programme for government
David Cameron and Nick Clegg say in the coalition document "This is an historic document in British politics: the first time in over half a century two parties have come together to put forward a programme for partnership government." Sections on Civil Liberties, Jobs, Culture and Social Action make this interesting, helpful and challenging. Active Christians would do well to browse - click here for the full document .God has been doing amazing things within the Naval Christian Fellowship "Since all this God has been doing amazing things for us. I personally have never felt so carefree and protected as I do right now. Through just giving the Lord each day when I wake up I have seen awesome fruit through being able to share my faith more openly. Taking church onboard the ship and just generally telling any who’ll listen what Jesus has done in my life and what he means to me." To see Jonny Logan's full testimony click here. How appropriate is it for Christians to share their faith in the workplace? In a recent radio broadcast, Valarie Bunting on Life 4 You radio, interviews: Tom Stevens of Transform Work UK on practical ways Christians can share their faith: Brian Ashworth of the N.I. Assembly on how Christians in politics live out their faith: Sharon Boyd who works for PWC on why it is important for Christians to share their faith. Click here to see these new resources.
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. From The Paradoxical Commandments, by Dr. Kent M. Keith
