faith In God

Good morning brothers and sisters. I pray that every day this week you will come before the Lord singing for joy, raising the roof for the Rock who saved you, marching into his presence singing praises, lifting the rafters with your hymns! (Psalm 95:1-2; the Message).

It takes faith to praise God like that in the midst of all that is happening to many of us, in the other areas of our lives.

And we know that we are never absolutely sure we’re right when we’re living in faith. I guess that’s why it’s called “faith!” At the crucial moments in our life’s decision making, we are always trusting in God’s guidance and mercy and not in our own perfect understanding. We’re always “falling into the hands of the living God,” as Hebrews 10:31 says, letting God’s knowing suffice and God’s arms save. Although, it does say in the same verse that it is a “scary” or “awesome” thing to do. Faith is trusting that God is good, involved, and on our side. Alleluia!

Remember to pray for your managers, that they find wisdom on the way forward for both the company and its staff in these difficult times. Finally, may I encourage you with the words of Pablo Casals (1876-1973), addressed to each one of you:

"Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel. And when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? You must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children."
