Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:6
Prayer is a large part of any Christian’s life – or it should be. Prayer is where we talk to our heavenly Father, to worship Him, and to let Him know what we would like Him to do. But so often our prayers can seem more like that quick note to ‘Aunty’ following a Christmas or Birthday present. A few rushed minutes repeating the same message we sent last time.
Over the past few weeks, I have met and read about a number of Christian’s who for them prayer is a vital part of their strategy for changing the workplace. And they have shown it works and seen God at work where they are.
So how about you and me? Are our prayers, really a key part to our daily work life? And when we pray, do we ask specifically on how God can use us to change our workplace?
To help you get stared, we have reproduced an article from ‘Care’ magazine about making prayer work. It’s written from the view of a church leader and what they do to help those at work. But the same concept can also be applied to groups of Christians.
We encourage you – if you haven’t already – to make this month a time when we get together with like-minded Christians where we work, and use the power of prayer to see His kingdom become established within our own workplace. Let us know how you get on – and for those who have been doing this for some time, send us in testimonies of what God has done so we can encourage others.
